One of my favourite plants for botanical printing is the Popular tree. This lovely print has been achieved with Iron and tannin steamed with the leaf and then the paper dipped in madder and marigold and cooked for a further period. The frame is wooden with a gilded finish the pick up the golden colours beautifully. The paper used is a heavy Khadi recycled cotton rag paper which has been mordanted to preserve the natural colours . Ready to hang on a wall. This is a one of a kind print.
