Imprints of Scotland botanical printed quilt 28 x 30
Botanical printing with natural leaves is a form of alchemy.
The natural fabrics used are often dyed with plants and mordanted with natural products to make fast the colours and prints.
The fabrics are often a range of cottons and silks and linens , all compatible in their weights and density.
We use antique table and bed linen to back these delightful mini quilts.
Never the same print or colour is repeatable so making them truly individual .
They are hand washable if needed and have a whole variety of uses from wallhanging to baby quilt .
We hope you will enjoy our 'Imprints of Scotland' . We grow and use mostly the dye plants and leaves and flowers grown here at Dalmally Railway Station in the Scottish Highlands .
