Knitted by hand with a single ply wool from the Shetland Sheep in a traditional pattern this shawl passes the test of fitting through a wedding band . wonderful piece of work by Mavis Clark . This traditional pattern is called the Sheilagh Shawl
For 27 years Mavis has researched and knitted Shetland Lace in traditional wools from the Islands, both 1 and 2 3 ply. She also designs and knits ganseys, the traditional fishermen's working jersey.
This comes packed in tissue and gift wrapped , often used as a gift for a wedding or Christening but a real joy to an older parent or grandparent for warmth and lightness to wear for comfort.
