Plants Dyes from the Garden

Sunday, July 5th, 10.00 am to 4.30 am

Connect with the local landscape and learn the history of plant dyeing in Scotland. This workshop focuses on what can be foraged or grown right here in our own gardens.

What to expect

We will work with seasonal plants to dye wools and other fibers, covering mordants, modifiers, and how to achieve lightfast results.

Take home

Skills to identify native dye plants and techniques for preserving plant materials for "out of season" dyeing.
